Brett Favre is now a Viking. Honestly, this is the best thing that has happened to the VIkings since Randy Moss. Ticket sales are now through the roof and the hype in this city is huge. The opportunity to win a lot of football games is huge. If they do win a lot of games we could be looking at another new stadium in the Mpls area. A lot of people are down on the team for taking the former face of Green Bay… Nobody complained when we took Darren Sharper and Ryan Longwell from the Packers. Does this mean that we will take the good players from GB but not the Hall of Famers? This does not make any sense. FFUSA is looking forward to watching the Viking vs. Packer game on Monday Night Football, October 5th.
Well the bad weather really made things interesting at Bethpage Black this year. The rest of the field was lucky that Tiger had to play the most ridiculous schedule for a US Open tournament. But, there really is no other excuse, sometimes the putts just don’t fall. He never made that signature putt. It still is saying something when he ties for 6th and it seems like an off weekend for him. I think this weekend actually proves that he is better than the rest of the field, it was as if no one wanted to win the tournament on Monday. Mickelson choked (surprise), Barnes did the same. I am excited for the British Open and the PGA championship… which I will be attending on Sunday. FFUSA. Merchant Services. First Financial USA. Card Processing.
I don’t think that there is a more clutch playoff performer than Derek Fisher. FFUSA thinks that he is damn good. First Financial USA is hoping for a Lakers victory in the Finals. Kobe Bryant deserves to win one or more on his own. It will be over this weekend and the discussion about Kobe’s talent can finally end.
FFUSA will be looking for a repeat in the Mpls/St. Paul Business journals best place to work competition. We are optomistic that it will be another highly successful year for the spectacular Merchant Services Company.
What’s your IQ? I took an IQ test in High School, of course I can’t remember what score I received but I do know it was a lot better then I thought it would be!! I’ve never understood how these tests work, how can you tell how generally smart someone is by a few hundred questions? Do these tests count street smarts too? You know some people are very book smart but just stupid in every day life… oh well!!
Michael Vick has finally been released from prison. I really believe that this guy needs a second chance. An example was made of him due to his status and fame, which is what tends to happen so I think he got the sentence he deserves. But, if the point of prison is reabilitate people and enter them into society, then the NFL better get him back in the league this season. Also, PETA people need to give it a rest. In no way to I condone what Vick did, but, again, he did his time. Give the guy a break.
I’m not afraid to admit that I am an American Idol fan… however, I have found that as the season moves forward I become less interested. Probably because the people that I am drawn to on the show are the people that aren’t quite as marektable as the people in the finals. I really can’t stand Adam Lambert’s screaming… don’t get me wrong the guy can sing, but when he starts screaming with his tongue out it makes him extremely irritating. And, as we’ve seen in the past, winning isn’t all that important… if you’re in the top 5 you are set for life.
Alright, I will never understand why people choose to live in areas where natural disasters are a frequent occurance. California being the most rediculous… earthquakes, raging wild fires, land slides. This is the definition of natural selection… “I think I will build my house in the path of wild fires that come through yearly and on a fault line that increase the chance that my house will be swallowed up by the earth.” This is natures way of saying you are not the fittest to survive in our world. So, I will just stay in MN and brave the -40 degree year, after year, after year…. maybe I’ll re-think this…
The new Star Trek movie is #2 at the box office and I am about to utter words that I never thought I would in my life… I am excited to see this one. I have never been Star Trek fan and can honestly say I don’t think I have ever seen more than 5 minutes of an episode or movie. But it sounds like this movie will appeal to “Trekkies” and the general public. I have heard that it is perfectly cast and that it is basically non stop action. I hope I am not disappointed…
Big Survivor fan… thought this was a good season. I was glad to see JT win. It was a little sad though to bid farwell to “Coach.’ I though that he was definitely an entertaining cast member. But I am looking forward to the new season.
